Tutty follows a blog called McHenry County Blog and could not help but notice a story posted by that blog earlier today.
It was a story about how local landlord and businessman John Zajicek is getting sweet real estate deals in McHenry County after making political contributions.

While Tutty does not immediately have the time, Tutty would ask followers of this blog to look up the name John Zajicek or his business, Z Finacial, on the Illinois State Board of Elections web site.
Clearly, money buys influence, anyone that says different...well let's just say Tutty has $2,500 to change your mind...tempted now huh?
Maybe it is time for a new Illinois law that would prohibit anyone from doing business with a unit of local government if that person had given a political contribution to any member of said unit of government during the past 36 months, this would include the purchase of delinquent taxes.
Don't expect Freeport's local Illinois General Assemblymen, Republicans Jim Sacia and Tim Bivins, to embrace such a statute. John Zajicek has already contributed to their war chests.
Thanks to Tutty's friends at the McHenry County Blog.

I thought about that last time around, and looking at his last run for congress Mr. Z had given Gaulrap money. Z has also 'donated' money to Gaulrapp's run for mayor. Now, let's look at how much property Mr. Z has owned around Freeprot. Let's look at the trailer park next to what once was the race track. Guess who owns the racetrack property now!? Yes, Mr. Z.
ReplyDeleteOne has to wonder if Gaulrapp or one of his minions calls Z to let him know of when a potential money making property is falling behind, or has fallen behind in taxes.
I will be sending you a screen shot of individual 'donations', ..... isn't it a coincidence that a few of these people happen to have had numerous contracts for work with the City of Freeport.
